About The Webster Arboretum
You have probably driven down Salt Road or Schlegel Road many times and have seen the signs for the Arboretum and wondered, "What is this place?" The Webster Arboretum is a planned development nestled at 1700 Schlegel Road in Webster, New York. Town father and inspiration for the Arboretum was Elmer Smith (1921-1996). The Arboretum is a place where people will visit unique gardens of natural beauty. The site is multi-use to include leisure, educational and cultural activities in a natural setting. It enhances awareness of the value, beauty and need for protection of our botanical resources.
Mission Statement: The Webster Arboretum Association, Inc. is a charitable, not-for-profit 501(c)(3) corporation whose goal is to financially support the development of the Webster Arboretum.
Goal: The goal is to create a park-like setting dedicated to quiet reflection, beauty, sights, smells and sounds of nature; and also bring together the unique talents of our community members to develop and maintain this special setting in which to explore and learn about nature. We offer the total community the opportunity to experience educational, conservation and recreational opportunities by creating programs for all ages.
