Bridget & Joe in New York

It was February 23, 2006. I went to work and worked a normal day and then made an appointment for me to get my haircut that night. I telephoned joe to let him know I would be a little late coming home as I had a hair appointment. He said well how late are you going to be, so i told him I will be home a little after 5:30. He said ok, call me when you leave because I will have dinner ready and will plate it when you call. It was 5:30 and the lady was just finishing my hair and my cell phone kept going off. As I walked out of the salon, I called him and let him know I was on my way home. I came into my apt and Joe was standing there all dressed up with something behind his back. I said, "ok what did you do?". Joe replied, "nothing I wanted to take you out to dinner because I love you" and handed me a rose from behind his back. I started telling him how much i loved my hair and he's like give me your hand and was leading me towards my bedroom. He told me to shhh and opened the door and there were 6 dozen roses and candles lit all around my bedroom and roses scattered across the bed. He sat me down on the bed and then went into the living room and turned on our song and came in and started crying and trying to get out the words, "Bella, would you go to dinner with me as my wife?" and i just started laughing because I was so nervous and he was crying and hes like why are you laughing...finally I yelled YES! He placed the ring he had custom made for me on my hand and gave me the sweetest kiss. We then proceeded to Mario Via Abruzzi for a beautiful engagement dinner.
