Ashley & Nick in New York

The proposal: Nick and I were supposed to go to a Red Wing's game Friday night with my brothers...he called both of them and asked them to make up excuses as to why they couldn't go that night because Nick had other plans in mind :) It was a (rare) really warm night out and Nick suggested we go down to Fairport canal (which is my favorite spot) and take a walk. Little did I know he had set up this beautifully romantic candle-lit dinner right on this private spot on the canal...complete with music and food from our favorite restaurant, Davinci's (where our first date was!) He waited until after dinner and then he got down on one knee, whipped out the most gorgeous diamond ring I have ever seen in my entire life, and asked me to marry him. It was the most romantic night of my life!!! I will never forget it! We tie the knot May 16, 2009.
